The engraved stamp at the bottom of the plate which says " Ez Seyit 1284"
means this very rare and beautiful piece was made in 1867 by copper master "Ez
Seyit ”. The year 1284 in Hijri (Islamic) Calendar which was used by the
Ottoman Empire is the equivalent of the year 1867 of the Gregorian calendar.
This beautiful antique has been cleaned and tinned on the outside by skillful
copper masters leaving the inside of the top untouched as you can see on the
picture so that the original age of this antique can be seen. The purpose of
such distinct way of tinning is to well maintain and to prevent decays on the
